Big EARTHQUAKE - Christchurch/Canterbury - New Zealand.

For those of you waking up early on Sat am in part of NZ outside Chch - Chch was hit by a big 7.4 earthquake at 4.30am this morning.No reports of injury.

Structural damage around the city. Areas without power and water.

No TV coverage as yet. Reports on radio.

Earthquake 30k west of Chch - 30 km deep - Darfield/Kirwee hit worst.

After shocks rolling in... which may last for a week.

My family all safe.
